Sandstone Trail

Here at Porthkerry House Bed and Breakfast we are lucky enough to be in the heart of the Cheshire Countryside, in the lovely village of Little Budworth, Tarporley.  We are close to numerous walking trails around Cheshire, from the Sandstone Trail to Delamere Forest but not leaving out, of course, our beautiful walks in Little Budworth itself.

The Sandstone Trail is a fantastic walk and one that is very popular.  It was listed as one of the top 100 walks by ITV in 2018 – see HERE for more on this – and is approximately 34 miles in length.

There are a number of different starting points and the routes vary in difficulty and the route also takes in Delamere Forrest which is approximately 4 miles to us here in Little Budworth.

The Sandstone Trail also takes in Beeston Castle as well as some lovely villages, including Whitchurch.

Our own little walks around Little Budworth Common may be smaller than the Sandstone Trail but it is just as beautiful.  Taking in the gorgeous woodland, popular with dog walkers and all persons who fancy a wonder in peaceful surroundings amongst the flora and fauna.  You can take a look at our village web information here – Little Budworth Common.
