Locally Sourced Cheshire Ingredients
As we build up our small B&B here in Little Budworth, Tarporley, we aim to bring to our visitors and guests, locally sourced Cheshire ingredients for breakfast when possible. We still need to source some produce but are proud to include some great items already, straight from our own doorstep in this beautiful and resourceful county.
For instance, our yoghurts are supplied by Tiresford Guernsey – a family based business on the outskirts of Tarporley. Their yoghurts have proved to be a real favourite of both ours and our guests!
Our breakfast meat items come from a local butcher based in the nearby village of Kelsall. Dutton’s of Kelsall have been based in the village for many years and have won awards in many categories, namely their delicious sausages!
Our breakfast is a great hit with guests and we pride ourselves on supplying a hearty start to the day. We even provide a take-away sandwich for you early starters, such as a bacon butty, so you don’t leave on an empty stomach! Being the nearest Oulton Park accommodation, many folk take this option but there is nothing like sitting down to a good plate of food, fresh buffet with fruit and that yoghurt – epically when the sun is shining! Take a look at our breakfast menu HERE.
We still have some research to do (and tasting!) before we use more locally sourced Cheshire produce at our bed and breakfast.
There are many great sources of products for visitors to explore in and around Cheshire, of course, and we encourage anyone to get out there in this gorgeous weather and sample some of what this great county can offer. At this time, of year there are plenty of local markets, fetes and fairs where local producers will be selling their goods and which gives ample opportunity to try before you buy.
Take a look at THIS site for more Cheshire events and we hope to welcome you to our Cheshire B&B soon!
